The Save Movement

Several years ago, a small group of activists began gathering near a slaughterhouse in Toronto to give aid and comfort to the pigs awaiting execution. When one of their members was arrested for feeding water to pigs, the trial caused a huge sensation that exposed millions of people to the horrible treatment of animals in captivity, and the group rapidly expanded into a massive organization called The Save Movement that now has chapters in more than 400 cities around the world.

The Save Movement's other mission besides comforting animals in their last moments is to spread the word about animal abuse and its solution, and for this they hired Vegan Street Media to develop an effective tool for them.

We created The SAVE Booklet – an inviting 16-page piece that uses positive messages and attractive graphics, as well as valuable coupons to gently expose people to the benefits of a vegan diet. We wrote most of the text and designed everything including some memes from Vegan Street that help to illustrate points more quickly.

Hundreds of thousands of these have been distributed and they are regularly reprinted.
